Wooden shelf will be shipped unassambled with an instructions for eay assembly.

Diference between waxed and not waxed: customers that are planning on finishing the Freestanding Book Shelf with paint or a different type of finish are ordering not waxed. If you are not planning to use anything different on the Book Shelf, we recomand ordering waxed as it is better for wood.
